Let the Baby Name Genie pick one for you

Yesterday a friend of mine at work was talking about a random baby name generator he’d seen online and trying to convince me that’s how we should pick the baby’s name. Yeah, right. That sounds like a fabulous idea.
So after a quick search I found the Baby Name Genie and decided to take it for a spin*. Only… I kept going and going because the responses were so freakin’ funny! I love the comment about the doughnut shop. Check it out:
It was surprisingly entertaining. The creepy part is that there are a couple names on this list that I have actually considered.

* We don’t know if baby is a girl or a boy yet so I selected “Surprise me” for the gender.

Ha! The genie kills me. There’s no baby in my immediate future, but I might just have to go harass the curmudgeon anyway.

Freaky! I put in our family name and it gave me the name of my Maternal Great Grandmother. That name is on the “when we have a baby” list that has been in my head for the last 10 years. Baby genie – you good!
I have tried that in the past and was TOTALLY creeped out by the result which was one of the top names we’ve always loved. Crazy! :)
That is hilarious! And also, some of those are great names!
No kids for me yet, but I might use this next time I’m writing fiction and have to come up with character names. :)

Wow none of the names it gave me were even remotely close. That wizard comes up with come crazy names.

So, unsure if I ever mentioned this, but the guy I dated for a few brief weeks prior to meeting my boyfriend was named (well, *is* named) Maverick. I always found his name hysterically ridiculous and it has been the source of many a joke in my friend circle ever since I broke things off with him.
Anyway, for fun, I input my boyfriend’s surname and gender boy, and what’s the FIRST name it suggests? Maverick. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
