Not all white handbags are created equally

April 28, 2009

It’s almost summertime. Time to pull out the sandals, dig under the stairs for the boxed up summer clothes and retire my beloved bag Miranda Marie for the season.

Contrary to popular (i.e. Mr Fink’s) belief, I actually don’t own many bags and unless you count that yellow straw bag I got in Madagascar years ago (very cute but not for every day, you know?), I don’t have a summery bag.

The search was on and just when I thought I’d overturned every store in town, I found her.

She was everything I had been looking for.

Sleek and lightweight, classic yet funky, she was the perfect companion for both my weekday schlepping to work and my weekend gallivanting about town.

Alas, it was fated to be a short and bittersweet romance.

After just one day of skipping along together in the sunshine, she proved she was not the kind of friend to stand the test of time.

And so back she went from whence she came.

Sorry white handbag. We could’ve been great together.

if you wash your denim with some white vinegar (just once) they won’t bleed on white bags, light shoes or white shirts, promise!

Oh no. That bag is super cute. Had it been at my house it would have occurred much further damage. lol.

Love that genius design! I won’t get it in white, but I’m tempted to pick it up in another color.
